Your Purdue alumni address is ending. Here are some accounts to start updating.
Purdue switches the address off on November 1, 2026. After that, mail sent to it stops arriving and the sender is not told — which is the part that does the damage. A bank, a licensing board, or a company settling a class action sends once, to the address it has on file, and never learns it failed.
This is the list of places that address is most likely to be, in the order worth doing them. It is not a Purdue page and Purdue did not make it; every link goes to the service's own site.
Two things before you start. Change your Apple, Google and Microsoft accounts first — a surprising number of other services take their address from one of those rather than holding their own. And do the ones marked "while it still works" now, because those are the ones you cannot fix alone afterwards.
While the address still works
These cannot be fixed by you once mail stops arriving. Each one needs the old mailbox, a support agent, or a photo ID. There is no reason to leave them until January.

If the original address was never verified, Cloudflare cannot change it at all — you would have to open a new account and transfer the domains across.

The verification code goes to the NEW address, but if you are ever locked out you need the old one. Lose both and it is the Regain Access form.

Straightforward while you can log in. If you cannot, Delta requires a government photo ID through its identity verification form.
Do these next — other accounts inherit from them
These are identity providers. Government and research sites mostly do not hold your address at all; they read it from one of these. Changing them first saves doing several others twice.

Only changeable if it ends in @gmail.com. A Google account created ON your alumni address cannot have its address changed — you would move your data to a new one.

Add the new address as an alias first, then promote it to primary.

Government and identity
Two of these have no email setting of their own. Doing the identity providers above is most of the work.

The profile page has an email field, but sign-in is ID.me or Login.gov and has to be changed there separately.

SSA has no self-service email change. The address belongs to Login.gov or ID.me.

Changing it here does not change your credit report.
Money
Statements, security alerts and tax documents. A brokerage that cannot reach you will eventually escheat an account it believes abandoned.

Plan email is often fed from a former employer's HR system. Change it, then check a week later that it stuck.
If you hold a professional license
This is the group where a missed message has consequences beyond inconvenience — a recertification notice or a credentialing query that goes to a dead address is not resent, and you are not told.

Every state runs its own portal; the California page is linked as an example of what to look for. Most states require notification of a change within 30 days, and the address of record is public.

There is no central ABMS account. Each certifying board has its own portal and each has to be done separately.

Two different addresses: the login email lives in the CMS I&A system, the contact email lives in the NPI record itself. Change both.

An institution-sponsored subscription re-verifies periodically against an institutional address. Losing the alumni address can mean losing the subscription, not just the login.

Per health system. If you are a patient at three hospitals, that is three separate changes.
If you have published anything
Your name is attached to work that outlives any job. These are the records that route a correction, a citation query, or a co-authorship request to you in ten years.

You cannot remove the only address on the record. Add and verify the new one first.

Scholar requires an INSTITUTIONAL address to verify a profile and rejects Gmail and Yahoo. For many alumni the Purdue address is the only thing keeping their profile indexed — and there may be no replacement.

Login is now third-party only. Changing the NCBI notification address does not change the provider you sign in with.

If the profile is linked to a Google account you have to unlink it first.

The username is your original address and self-service cannot change it. A support ticket is the only route.

Keep a verified institutional address attached or the affiliation badge goes.
Passwords, code and domains
The accounts that hold every other account. Several re-encrypt or re-key when the address changes, so do them when you have a few minutes rather than between meetings.

The vault is re-encrypted. The address used for email-based two-factor does not change with it.
